Bill Meredith was contacted to organize the Southeast District Council.
He served as president pro team with Ruth Beeman acting as secretary pro team.
After the district was organized Meredith and Mrs. Beeman no longer attending the meetings; in fact they dropped out of the square dance activity until 1959 when Beemans re-entered as a member of the State Publicity Committee.
The following served as President and Secretary and the various other officers:
Ted Williams, President: Wilma Sumners, Secretary: Frank Sollee, President: Esther Linder Tull and Charleen Walters Grover, Mary Harris and Verna Schweers, George Brooks, Zeb Bean and Bryce Henricks. The Vice-Presidents should be listed in the material that the present secretary has; and the Treasurers were Harry Saunders, George Brooks of Pueblo, and John Arnold of Colo Springs. Another secretary was Charleen Tussler of Colo Springs. Representatives were Martin, Deane, Chuck Howard, Zeb and others.
