The Legacy is a square dance club, founded in August 2022, of individuals who are dedicated to enjoying and preserving the art of dance and movement. In order to fulfill this goal, the community needs a venue for events and education, designed for dance and movement, available and affordable.  This is The Legacy Dream!

·        Fall Fund Raiser Report

We are pleased to announce that our fall Donation Fund Raiser was a big success!  In September we finalized the fund raising campaign and held the drawing to award our “Thank You Donors” Prizes.

1st place went to Fred and LouAnn Elliot of Denver…. 2^nd place went to E. Jacobi of FtCollins… 3^rd place went to Larry and Christy Wagner of Wellington.  Congratulations to all the happy winners!  Bon Appetit!

When all expenses were paid we netted $4000.00 for our dream fund.

·        Annual Meeting Scheduled

The Legacy will hold its Annual Meeting on Nov 24, 2024 At the Masonic Event Center (225 W. Oak St, downtown Ft Collins 80521) at 12:30PM.  The meeting will be held upstairs above the ballroom in the Collins Room.  The meeting will finish in time for folks attending to go to the Ponderosa Promenaders Dance at 2:00 With Lanny Weaklend calling and Mitchell Thompson cueing.

·       Holiday Dance

We are excited to announce The Legacy Holiday Dance.  The dance is being hosted by Plus.Com with Bear Miller calling and Mitchell Thompson cueing.  It will be held at The Avalon in Boulder in the Sodal Ballroom on Sunday/Dec 8^th, 2024  from 1:15-3:45 SSD, squares with Plus.  Along with great dancing, there will be a Holiday Fala-Laaahto of “Cool Stuff”to win.  Included could be decorations, handmade items, and culinary treats.  Advance tickets ($10.00each) are required and will go on sale Nov. 1^st.  Look for Bear/Sandy, Dolores, Bryan Nolde, Jim Young, or The Thompsons to get yours. Cash or checks will be accepted . 

Note: if you would like to donate an item for the Fala-Laaahto,  please text Cyril with your name and a picture of item at 970-237-2309  Anyone can donate…we are looking for about 12 items.
